Why evolve
Community guides treat evolution as a major power spike: attributes rise and unique passives unlock (Divine Spirit, Wall of Fire, Seize, Arcane charges, etc.). Raids and hard Story chapters assume evolved cores.
How to evolve (steps)
- Go to the main lobby Upgrades room → Evolve section (near Traits / Inventory)
- Press interact (community often cites E) to open the Evolution menu
- Select a unit — requirements and passive preview appear before you spend
- Gather missing materials or use Quick Craft if available
- Click Evolve Unit when gold and materials are ready
Materials overview
Most recipes need colored Sprites (Blue, Green, Red, Pink, Purple, Yellow), Rainbow Sprites, Gold (often 5,000; Shadow Divine community list uses 10,000), and a unit-specific key item (Holy Pendant, Student ID, Salmon, Burning Fruit, Puppet Heart, Cosmic Magic, etc.).
Grey Sprites are critical: community craft notes say they convert into colored sprites. Farm them early from Path rewards, Story, and challenges.

Before you spend materials
Only evolve units you will keep. Preview passives in-menu. After evolving, equip unit-exclusive gear when available and start trait rerolls on that unit — not on the pre-evo temporary you discarded.
